You would have to be careful the paper didn't catch fire. Try the hardware store for a heat gun, they are less expensive than the ones at the craft stores. Or you can try an electric skillet. Put a piece of foil in it first to protect it, and keep the temp between 200 and 250 degrees F.

You can use a toaster, but its better by far to just buy the heatgun.. The toaster dries out the card before the sparkles start to bubble up, and can discolour the paper- you cant use it for parchment cards as it buckles and twists and you cant get it straight again. Also the toaster has a high fire-risk, and anyway, my beloved hates twinkly toast>>>

Yes but you'll ruin the toaster.
An hot air gun is cheap and the best best. It takes a little getting use to and don't do it on your best dining room table.
You can sometimes get away with an hairdryer.

yes you can, but it's not as easy as a heat gun. you can also use a light bulb!
