once in sex ed, my teacher told us a riddle. a mother gives birth to twins, the son is born before the daughter but the daughter is actually older than the son. how is this possible?

because an egg dropped even though the mother was pregnant, and she had sex early in her pregnancy, and the egg became fertilized, so it was like she was carrying twins. the first bab ymight not have even been detected when the second was made.

so it's possible.

hope I helped...

I'm not sure if you meant pregnant rather than pregnate, but the body is a strange thing, one person says you can and another says you can't. I heard once that a few women told this pregnant woman that she was carrying twins because she had sex too much. They thought they were right too. I really don't know the answer to this one, some of these answers sound like they could be true... and then there are others...

If you are already pregnant then no you cant get pregnant and have two babies at one time unless you were pregnant with twins to begin with. If you are asking this question then I am assuming you arent even old enough to be thinking about sex, but just in case I am wrong, sorry. I think you should go check out some pregnancy books or look up info on the internet.

Generally, no. Once a woman's pregnant, the ovulation/menstral cycle stops till she gives birth. Every once in a while though, an exception. If the woman releases 2 eggs, and the timing is just right. One, then the other egg could be fertilized. If both developed, it'd result in fraternal twins. You'd not be able to see it as a "re-pregnancy" though. The fertilization stage would be past by the time you'll be showing signs of pregnancy.

Absolutely not. If I remember my biology correctly, once a sperm penetrates the egg cell, the cell secretes a substance that will not let another sperm join it. Once the egg starts developing, no other egg will be produced.

If you are talking about a few weeks into your pregnancy, you can not get pregnant.again. At least I have never heard of it happening. But perhaps with all the new science, it might be possible to implant another fertilized egg?? I am just guessing at that. But to get pregnant again during a pregnancy NATURALLY is pretty much a no.

However, I am a clone and there are millions of me. Scary, huh?

Yes... If the existing baby does not change your biochemistry quick enough and a 2nd egg exist. Each woman is different and reacts differently. I know women who stated that they had a regular menstral cycle for months though they were pregnant. I have also heard cases where a woman issues multiple eggs and if both are in the uterus both can be fertilized as long as they are not ejected.

For the most part, it is very unlikely, since a majority of women (... that is currently reported in the western countries...) do not fall within those categories.

Yes you can get pregnant after you already are. This would have to occur with in the first month after conception. It has been proven that women can become pregnant after already conceving thus having a far smaller and under developed second child. It is also proven that a women can get pregnant with 2 different mans babies if sex with these different men accur with in a short time of each other. This is were you can have one white child and one black child.

Years ago, I heard this story (on the News, not some Tabloid) where a woman had a white baby and 2 months later gave birth to a black baby. She had sex with two different men - 2 months apart. PS -- when the first baby was born, the doctor noticed something 'not right' and did an ultrasound, he left the baby inside when he discovered it was premature. I had never heard of this, but I guess anything is possible.
