its really like a gang.

If I lived in the Ghetto, many of my actions could be dictated by gang member in my area. This is like Hezbollah right?

Even though the majority of people aren't member of Hezbollah the rest of the people have to abide by Hezbollah's shirking of the law. Gang memebers pump money into local bussiness and schools via drugs sales, but that doesn't make them heroes. Does it?

When people come into their gangs territory they defend it. Just like a gang. And because the rich upper levels of the gang survive that makes it all rosey. Just like a gang, it is 'impotent (pun intentional)' against actual military power. Sure, they can deal casualties, but mostly they use guerilla tactics and spend Lebanese infrastructure and lives.

Do you agree?

FIRST, I would like to start with an introduction about Hezbollah:
Hezbollah was formed to combat the Israeli occupation following the 1982 invasion of Lebanon and opposes the Israeli state. It is also a recognised political party in Lebanon, where it participates in government. Hezbollah's civilian wing participates in the Parliament of Lebanon, taking just over 10% of the seats (14 out of 128) and the bloc it forms with others, Hezbollah organises an extensive social development programme. This civilian wing runs hospitals, news services, and educational facilities. Its Reconstruction Campaign ('Jihad al-Bina') is responsible for numerous economic and infrastructure development projects in Lebanon.

Hezbollah and Israel have participated in many military clashes against each other since 1982, which result in casualties on both sides. Also both of them have attacked on civilians and assassinated or captured each other.Because Israel occupied part of Lebanon during a time when most of these attacks took place and is still considered by Lebanon, but not the United Nations, to occupy Sheba Farms, the majority of nations in the Middle East support Hezbollah or its movement. Another factor in the animosity towards israel lies in the fact that Israel has held some Lebanese in the jail.

Russia , the European Union, China, India, Brazil, South Africa, Mexico, Malaysia, Thailand, most of the arabic countries and Indonesia, among others, do not consider Hezbollah a terrorist organization.

While The United States, Canada, and Israel consider Hezbollah a full terrorist organization while the Australians and Dutch only view Hezbollah's external Security Organization as a terrorist Group.
(((The UN does not consider Hezbollah a terrorist organization)))

so do u think that israel has the right to attack lebnon & destroy UN-buldings after Hezbollah kiddnaped 2 israelian SOLIDERS ?

althouh there are more than 100 member from Hezbollah in israelian jail

Hezbollah IS a terrorist organization and was founded in 1982 by Iran. Its mission is to "drive Israel into the sea." The humanitarian support they provide is simply done to further their agenda. They can’t hide in the population without the support of the population. Also representing themselves simply as a terrorist organization won’t give them support from the entire Arabic community.

If they really cared about the people they would not place their rocket launchers inside of the neighborhoods of Lebanon. Iran and Syria provide their primary support because they are in a proxy war with Israel. Neither country can beat Israel in a conventional war, so they resort to having someone else do the dirty work for them.

The IRA was a terrorist organization. It was active in America raising funds. The fundraisers claimed to be helping the “widows and orphans” of Northern Ireland, when actually they were just trying to raise money so they could fight their terrorist campaign. Sure some of the money was given in humanitarian support, but a lot of it went right to the IRA. The humanitarian support was only given to keep the population loyal to their cause. Only by doing this could the IRA could fight and then hide among the people. This is exactly what Hamas and Hezbollah are doing.

Gangs are really tribes. The original concept was for people to band together to protect themselves. Modern gangs often violate the law, because they feel that they don’t need to follow the law. They feel that they are superior and that their organization will protect them. They sell drugs because it is an easy way to get money. They rumble with other gangs in a fight to control territory and the drug market.

Gangs do not try to oust the legitimate government of a nation, or attack other nations to influence their policies. Gangs rarely attack civilians, except those that get in their way. They may terrorize their local population, but that is only so the population will be will not turn them in. Gangs don’t seek support from the population they only need themselves, their suppliers and their addicted customers. The only enemies a gang is forced to meet are rival gangs and the police. They may attack a few police, they may even defend themselves against a SWAT team, but they rarely try to attack a police station. In the face of real opposition, like 100 officers or an Army unit the gangs would only run. They would not dream of attacking such a force. If they did, then they would be destroyed. Gangs also do not use suicide bombers.

Gangs may pump money into the local economy, but they don’t’ try to control the local economy. They certainly don’t try to run the local government. Hezbollah exists like a nation within the Nation of Lebanon, although the only have 2 representatives in the Lebanese government. Hamas is the government of Palestine. They got the popular vote because of the humanitarian aid they provided to the Palestinians.

Comparing gangs and terrorists is like comparing the AK-47 and a bee-be gun. At point blank range it is possible for either weapon to kill, but at any reasonable distance the bee-be gun hasn’t a chance. Comparing terrorists and governments is like comparing AK-47s and Tanks. The AK-47 has no chance against the Tank in a conventional battle, but it is deadly against the population that built the tank. It can also easily kill anyone who gets out of the tank.

A gang doesn't care who politically rules the territory; they don’t care about the military or the government. These things don’t matter to them. They care about the few blocks that they claim. They grow up to be petty criminals and drug dealers; they do not aspire to become the government or to replace the existing government. They don’t care who owns the ground they live on, they feel that they are in control, but they really aren’t, when the police make a concentrated gang control effort it is proved to them. The most a gang member can hope to do is to become a full member of society or a drug kingpin. Terrorists hope to direct a worldwide campaign to systematically defeat their enemies, and remove them form power.

Is there a question in there?
I think I agree with you - that Hezbollah is using Lebanon like their neighborhood. Just because they have health clinics and plaster walls and provide books to some schools does not princes make them. The people in the neighborhood (Lebanese) are afraid to speak against them because they WILL exact vengeance.
I think they are better reflected by their actions in lobbing rockets and/or kidnapping innocent Israelis.
They're a bunch of thugs who don't have minds of their own - they just play follow the leader and get blown up for their "devotion." I didn't see the President of Iran or Syria or the fat Hezbollah guru on the front lines.
I'll bet if he were younger and healthy, Sharon would have been 10 miles into Lebanon shaking a stick at the little creeps.

More like a tribe.

The term "tribalism" taken in the sense of societal structure usually carries a connotation that society is not only divided into smaller groups, but that these groups are actively hostile towards one another. Thus, "tribalism" as a social structure connotes a society divided in civil conflict between myriad small groups.

wow...thats got to be one of the most ridiculous things ive heard in recent times. Gangs don't go out and bomb American Marines. Gangs don't lob missiles at sovereign nations. Gangs are a criminal organization that they use for criminal acts in an attempt to make a profit and destroy their competition (drug sales). Terrorists kill to instill fear, they like to intimidate others by killing them. They don't want to make money, they want to kill people. Pure and simple.

Do gang members in the L.A. ghetto fire missiles indiscriminately at Orange County? No? Well, there's your difference.

hezbolla is a political party with a militant twist to it. they are named a terrorist orginization so that israel can feel better about hitting civilians with artillery shells. "its to stop the terrorist threat" is a favorite phrase in politics when governments are going to do something that will make ordinary people suffer. why dont the "civilized" people just tell the truth: those people are not us or allied with us, therefore we will kill them.
