Heck Yeah. Their top 3 starters are all above average, they have a great bullpen with viollone, proctor, farnsworth, and rivera, and probably the most dangerous lineup in baseball when everyone is healthy. Look at this lineup come october:

Damon CF
Jeter SS
Abreu RF
Sheffeild DH
Giambi 1B
Rodruigez 3B
Matsui LF
Posada C
Cano 2B

How would you like to be a pitcher the night before goin against that team??? that lineup is just ridiculous. they definately have the hitting to win it. Rivera Mussina and Wang are consistenly very good, and Randy Johnson, although bad some days, is still one of the best in the game on those special nights. they will win it.

I personally do. Their lineup is the best in all of baseball. Offensively they are easily capable of putting up at least 5 runs a night. This will help make up for a somewhat deficient pitching staff. With Sheffield and Matsui coming back in September there really won't be anyone to pitch around. When the playoffs start they will be able to go to a shorter pitching staff. Johnson and Mussina have the experience to get it done. And even though Wang is momentarily slumping he's had an outstanding year.

As a matter of fact, I do.
They've been playing awesome even with some key players hurtin'.
(They're in 1st aren't they?)
I have said it before and I'll say it again all day, everyday and twice on Sunday:
My Yankees will win the WS in 2006! It's their year! I can feel it!
And NO, it won't be bought either!

i do no longer remember human beings whining in regards to the Yankees whilst they spent money and lost. Now that they have got been helpful those previous 12 years human beings have achieved no longer something yet whine like babies approximately their payroll. So no i do no longer agree. And neither does the networks, merchants and dissimilar different companies that a ton of money each and every time the Yankees win a international sequence. they seem to be a marketable icon and baseball is amazingly fortunate to have their sales. how lots money does your team carry to baseball?

of course, mussina, wang, wright, and the unit will be good enough however, i think there is a chance pavano makes it back. if dotel gets added to the bullpen they will be formidable.
