What exactly is with the people that seem to whine, day after day about not being able to bring liquids, computers, and other stuff onto airlines? Would a simple solution be just not to fly, and to actually obey the rules? Not that I really care, but does whining and complaining about not being able to bring restricted items onto an aircraft, mean you actually do want to blow up and die?

NO!!!!!!! I'll tell you exactly what the hell it means...People are going to bit-ch and whine when those damn towel headed Bastard terrorists have made it so we can't fly the way we used to...my yearly trip to Finland where a lot of my family is...including grandpa who is dying is 16 hours by plane...can't exactly jump in a car to get there.
I wish those terrorists would loosen up those turbans a bit to try and get some oxygen into their 7-11 dumb a-s brains.
That my friend is why people whine...9-11 is why people complain...yes we have always had terrorism but THIS is the worst it has been...I wish we would just blow them off of the map.
Keep in mind, this is not racism...but you don't exactly hear abount many other ethnic backgrounds doing the terrorism.
I mean COME ON! I have friends of all races...even a dear Muslim girlfriend and she wishes they would get blown off the map...God I love her.
They now have to search 85 year old women at the airport!!

When taking safety measures you have to weight the costs to the benefits. When it comes to the liquid ban for example... or any of the airline searches like taking off your shoes or whatever.. the reall inconvenient ones, it seems that the inconvenience outweighs the actural effectiveness of prevention. For example, despite the HARSH restrictions and beefed-up security measures, I've still managed to get lighters and razors onto the plane in my carry-on luggage (not because I'm going to do anything, but because no one stopped me and I wasn't going to just throw out those things on my own.... I mean say someone else bad got on there with a weapon, at least I'd have SOMETHING to fight back with... or whatever).

Anyway.. my point is... these security measures are largely ineffective but very COSTLY... so what is the point? Anyone who is going to carry out an attack is mostl likely NOT going to be stopped at check-in, but will be prevented through inteligence gathering and other covert operations... chemical and radiation scanning machines. These things do not put the general population under a large inconvenience, and they are much more effective means by which to prevent an actual attack from occurring. The new security checks and rules are more to deter copycats and idiot crazies who got the idea from the news.

Those who have been planning the attacks for some time will get by any security measures, or plan an attack to overcome such measures anyway... these types of well-coordinated and planned attacks must be stopped before they happen by exactly the means which this attack was thwarted.. through good intelligence gathering and cooperation between government agencies.

right that's my plan for the subsequent time I fly: i visit maintain on my clothing and such and merely verify the toiletries. they look a lot more effective common to interchange in the adventure that they are lost. definite, you ought to attend in line to get the bag off the airplane, yet this works for me when you consider that I commute for exhilaration and by no skill organization.

I think that now that people know the new rules they have nothing to complain about. If you need to drink something buy it after check in. If you need something to do take a book.
