I am starting my own buisness and need advice on the market in a college town like Provo, preferably from those familiar with Provo,UT. I want to know if that's something you're interested in.

It is a *very* niche market, limited to restored hotrods and similar. The market for pinstripes is waning anyways and it is so cheap for dealers to put them on, that offering a specialty with a premium does not make sense to me. The same provider of painted flames, etc., would also provide handpainted pinstripes -- and those just wanted pinstripes will no doubt get the vinyl variety. Although, posting the service on Craigslist and asking the question within hotrod forums would be a more comprehensive and equally cheap way to answer your question.

all i know is that if you get in good with a hot-rod builder or a custom body-shop, you will do well. hand-painted pin-striping is hard to find nowadays on newer cars, but its the only way to go on classics.

Go to all the body shops and show your stuff. Some will probably give you a chance.
