If a degree is, in fact, synonymous with competency. Why dont organizations take that at face without the use of background and credit checks, and without the use of personality questionaires?

To find the person who's personality is the least questionable and most vanilla. That is what the organizations are looking for, drones. They are not looking for creativity and personality, or competence.

Are you talking about an educational degree? PhD? Or something?
I'm a high school drop out.I hold a pretty good paying job in telecommunications.
I got where I'm at by starting at the very bottom.
Just get a job in your field...even if you feel it's beneath you.
Trust me.....A "go get'em" attitude and willingness to do the ugly jobs will get you where you want to be.

BECAUSE CREDIT HISTORY IS NOT SYNONYMOUS WITH COMPETENCY. YOU MAY BE VERY CAPABLE TO A DEGREE BUT STILL BE A DEAD BEAT.
