I simply need a few sites where I can find free notes for Homer's The Oddessy. Thanks!

To the second commentor: I didn't ask for your opinion. I don't have to read the book until much later on this year. Is it all right with you if I want to get ahead?

Spark Notes online; purchase Monarch Notes or Cliff Notes at any local bookstore. All are good as a guide to reading THE ODYSSEY.

Good luck!!

Honestly, since you have to read it later anyway, I would go ahead and invest in a good copied translation of the entire epic. I suggest those done by Everyman's Library. They have great forwards, appendices, and even chronologies that will help you understand what was going on when the epic was written, and give you extra valuable references when you have to write on it. The publisher has most advanced works, including all of the epics, as well as works of theatre and short-story writers, such as Poe.

Good Luck!

P.S. By the way, honestly, they aren't as bad a read as many would suggest. If you get a good translation, it's quite easy to "get", and it flows well.

I would have thought you would have received notes in class or made them yourself when you read the book. I guess Cliff's notes would work in a pinch, but it will hurt you in the long run.
