It used to be called ricketts. Calcium deficiency means that the bones aren't strong enough to properly support your weight and end up bowed.

PLEASE read :
"Eat Right for Your Type" by Peter D'Adamo
A friend of mine suffered through 5 YEARS of asthma trauma with her child. They spent thousands on fabrics and ventilation and got rid of all their beloved pets. They finally found this book, and within ONE MONTH of changing their boy's diet, he was breathing normally and running about, to the doctor's amazement.
Your child may have to take supplements such as calcium citrate to get bone density up where it belongs. But be aware, as many vegetarians already are, that cows, which are some of the largest boned animals we know, only drink milk for a short period in their lives. Otherwise, it's grass, grass, and more grass. Calcium comes fom spinach, almonds, carrots, and the list goes on.
But it obviously could be a severe genetic or physical malformation -- I'm not a doctor...
Good luck with your child, or I've typed a LOT if this is your homework, lol.

He probably has rickets. This is caused by a lack of vitamin D which means that calcium cannot be properly absorbed in to the body.
Milk, along with other animal products, and sunlight, are the best sources of Vit. D. Of course, the allergy to milk means that his diet is probably calcium deficient anyway.
I want half the house points you earn from this one.

I am an MD. This is obviously a case of Rickets, which is a vitamin deficiency of vitamin D. He could have avoided this disease by simply playing outdoors while the sun is shining, since your body can manufacture its own vitamin D from cholesterol and ultraviolet sunlight. But today's kids would rather sit indoors in front of a computer screen all day.....

rickets
Vit D-Calcitrol needed for proper bone development. That can be gotten from the sun and its shining on our skin. Many adult women in the middle east who don't get exposed to sun due to the cultural use of their burkas have osteomalacia, the "rickets" of adults.
US has had most dairy enriched with Vit A and D to prevent rickets and other VIt D and A deficiiency issues, so rickets in US is quite rare if US dairy is consumed.

I don't know that it has any significance but if you don't have the health care to correct the situation you need to get a hold of the Shriner's in your area they help children with problems like that sometimes. Besides it not the milk kids need for bones its the calcium, you can buy that anywhere.
