Dead people can be processed and eaten as soylent green.
But beyond that, population grows until a certain density is achieved. Certain places in the world have already achieved such density (most of Europe, the USA's North East, China along the Yang-Tse river, India along the Hindus valley, etc.) and from that point on, density of population estabilizes or starts decreasing.
Most of the Third World is still sparsely populated. For example, South America had over 10 million Natives 500 years ago, but after the genocide only 1 million were left. The population of those countries recovered their pre-colonial levels only in the 20th century, and even now the density of population is much lower than that of First World countries.
Check out this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_population_density
As it is evident, most Third World countries are sparsely populated compared to Europe or North America, and if you consider the capability to develop their resources, they can easily feed 10 times or more their current population.
The fear of overpopulation is mostly fueled by racists, who are afraid of a planet with too many brown and black faces around. Truth is, our countries have just barely recovered their old numbers previous to the colonial era genocides.

If you think about it and do a little history research, we won't get over populated. When the going gets rough nature has a way of balancing itself out. Take a look at all the sickness that has claimed so many lives in our past. Not to mention with more people, more wars, accidents, and murder will take place. You don't have to worry about the population increasing. Have you ever noticed that the most abundant animals are the ones mostly lieing squished on the highway? Not to poke fun about the human race, but there will always be something there to keep us in line. We only THINK we are above the laws of nature. We aren't.

It is difficult to predict... there are many other things to consider.
Like wars, disasters that wipe out whole areas and kill thousands at a time.... It will depend allot on weather or not the humanitarian and other efforts to eliminate hunger and bring hygiene to people... there will be more migrations of people and we will have to look at the consumerism and curb some of it.
there are so many things that could be done but the real question is will we do what needs to be don't so all people can have basic water hygiene and education too. that will solve more problems than anything else.

Over population is a myth. Do a little research on it. Some places in Europe actually have negative population growth.

Don't worry about it! I seriously doubt over population is going to become an issue in our life time.
Considering what we (humans) do to each other, and the planet we depend on, I would say, there are more immediate fish to fry.

If global hemhoragic fever, global thermonuclear war or global warming doesn't do the job first then famine, disease and overpopulation might.
If you have more people than jobs that spells trouble. We are exporting jobs and are still 'importing' people through immigration - illegal, as well as legal...a blueprint for disaster, call it what you will.
