This can be a sign of a number of things. Mostly, it might be a battery fault. Even the computer inside has power to remember a fair few settings and keep your clock up to date.

Also, this can be the work of spyware or virus, so make sure you update your anti-virus and anti-spywaresoftware and to a scan for each. But don't panic, this isn't as bad as it sounds.

A lot of people on here have the right idea. It's most likely the motherboard battery. Most of these are small silver nicads with a code on them. You can buy them at most computer stores and it is relativle easy to remove replace them (With the power off on the computer and the plug out of the wall). If it is not this then check to see if you have set a synchronising option in windows. Sometimes these options can be faulty, especially if they rely on the internet for their synchronisation. (Never use them myself).
Thirdly, it could be a virus. Run a virus scanner over the machine.

it could be one of several things one you might needto change the battery thats on the inside of your computer its sitting right on the motherboard second it could be you have a simple virus or three your computer might no be synching with windows to display the correct time
