I'm undecided! The positive is that there'll be more goals but like the catphotographer said,a well fought for goal is really exciting. The negative is that it's annoying especially when a player from the team you're supporting is caught offside!

I don't think it should. There would be more goals, but that wouldn't necessarily be more exciting. I prefer one single hard-fought goal over 10 easy ones. Without the offside rule, it would be easier to score. But they should introduce video replays, so some offside goals that aren't actually offside wouldn't be invalidated.

I'm also undecided. Some of the times i think the rule is completely BS and i feel so stupid waiting to cheer until i look at the ref. I mean look at Brasil v. Ghana in the World Cup, that whole game was based on the offside rule even though Ghana was playing better football. I feel bad saying this because i am a 100% Brasil fan but it was obvious. Yet, I think if it was abolished it was cause mayhem because players would have to reconfigure some of their playing.
Who knows.

No. The Game Would Be Out Of Control. And Not To mention unfair. The Players Are just People try as They Might To Have Eyes in The back Of Their head They Don't. It's Unfair To Expect Them To See Everywhere At Once. Take It From Someone Who Knows. I understand How it Would Be when We Play With lax Refs, or noobie Refs.

The offside rule should definitely stay. There would be too many goals if it's abolished, and it would just be too easy to score, takes the excitement and anticipation out of the game.

the offside rule is absolutely necessary. without it would be so much easier to score because people would just be waiting by the goalie!! the excitement in the game is knowing that a goal can come any time from either side...if people start scoring left and right, the game would be boring cause youd just expect goal after goal...then we might as well be watching lame american football.

In that case, you will always have few players just standing near other team goal, waiting for ball. That would make, in other hand, few defenders to watch them, and the game would become kicking long balls from one goal to another.
Maybe the offside rule is anoying sometimes and could be improved, but there is no way to abolish it.
That is my opinion, and it could be changed :)

No way, madonnas like Ronaldinho and Messi would just hang around the goal waiting for a 80 meter pass.

i think the offside rule makes the game a challenge to score. it would be boring if both teams just kept doing that over and over again.

NO! It's unfair to allow cherry-pickers, for lack of a better word, to hang out in front of your goal! It would change the game as we know it, and totally new tactics would have to be invented.

yea definately because it would make a more exciting game and lots more goals so teams would have to go at it a lot better and earn the big money that they are paid
