Usually not a problem but may be different with current restrictions since the UK terror thing. Check with your airline.

Yes you can. But at checkpoints they need to "be removed from the bag and placed in a tray so that such items neither obscure nor are obscured by the bag."

Yes you can... I don't know about taking pictures inside the airplane (security reasons), But a digicam is a GO!!
