Well, think back, if you can! when digital watches came on the market, very expensive, now, less then a pound each!
The disposable lighters, when they first came out, now you cant buy a strip of them for less then a pound/
Look at the technology that is sold so cheap now, calculators, the first one I had was about 15 pounds which was a lot then, now you can get them on key rings for less then a pound
So yes, perhaps, NOT a pound each, but certainly under a hundred pounds each, that before they invent something even better of course! It will happen = mind bending isnt it!

Hey they are coming up with so many new ideas with computers, there may be computers that they build that will be small enough to fit inside a box of Cornflakes.
It will probably be a really long time before they will be cheap enough to go inside the box though. Anything is possible.

If computers got that cheap, they would fit in a pack of cornflakes. That would be part of the reason for their cheapness. But they would have to be on a whole different level of technology to make them simple to manufacture. There would be a need for larger ones, though, because of our size and the need to handle them, and screens. Only if they could fit directly to the nervous system would it be worthwhile to get so small. That's so far off I don't suppose we would still eat cornflakes.

Probably a very basic computer (perhaps a palm pilot type computer) 25 years from now. Today, a $100 laptop is being developed for the 3rd world right now by MIT. Read the article below if you are interested but heck, if a laptop is hitting the $100 mark soon, I definitely don't see why they won't be in cereal boxes sometime in our lifetimes.

Yes. And if you plot the price trend over the last 10 years you will find that after giving them away with cornflakes, they will shortly be paying you to remove them from the store

Surely a lot of the freebies already given away in breakfast cereals would fit the early definition of the word 'Computer'...blimey, I bet even those thingies in musical cards are more sophisticated than the earliest computers were!
Or am I in a world of my own...
.......again!

They could now with old computers but never with cutting edge computers because the consumer is paying for the research and development costs.
