more costly to those who depend on medical coverage?Do they not care that millions of Americans, whose very life in many cases, depends on healthcare coverage?Yet they expect the elderly and the disabled to pay for premiums and co-pays on medical expenses that often they can't afford to pay because they already are living on one of the lowest forms of income known as Social Security.
I have a friend who is disabled with a life threatening illness and he is now faced with having to pay for a portion of his healthcare even though he makes less then 700 a month on Social Security and nearly 90% of what he makes is consumed in bills like rent and electric even with low income subsidies.I am outraged that the Republican Party is so insensitive to the plight of the elderly and the disabled that they would allow people to suffer by forcing them to live on peanuts and then expect them to pay for even portions of healthcare that they can't afford. Why are the Republicans doing this?Need $ 4war?

Ok.Should we then just shot all those who can't afford to pay for their health care since they are such a drag on the Republican economy?Might as well shot them if you're going to make their heath care more and more unattainable.

They just don't care. Our government is run by millionaires. If they can give the drug company's more profit, what do they care if people over 65 drop dead? This is the government without a heart. REMEMBER THIS AT ELECTION TIME. THEY HAVE ALREADY STARTED TO TELL THE LIES TO GET ELECTED.
ILLEGALS GET FREE MEDICAL. If you were born after 1950, you won't see your social security that is being taken out of your pay.

It is because they serve Corporate interests such as the many Drug Companies that get the "shaft" when they have to accept pay from the taxpayers instead of payment from people that can afford to give them more money.

Christ said: "The Love of Money (Greed) is the ROOT OF ALL EVIL." Republicans neither care for their constituents nor for the teachings in the religions they claim to represent.

Quite simply - this change was to save MONEY for the Government (Meidcare program in particular). Some costs are now shifted to individuals and private insurers, the government will save lots of $$, the claim is that the medicare program would eventually become insolvent without this change.

well the program for the drugs is going to cost American taxpayers as much as a trillion dollars with no way to fund it.

Cost of care is outrageous and as much as it would be nice to have everyone have everything at no cost to anyone just isn't realistic.

BTW I too am 100% disabled

Yes, the Republican Party is the source of all evil. They are the right hand of the devil...they must be blamed for everything. Puhlease...I have an idea, how about we as citizens just not make money, we give all our money away so the government can provide free services to everyone! That'd be great. That way, all of us can be poor and unhappy.

Government to the highest bidder. If that bidder is an HMO, that HMO sets the policy.

Why don't you work and give your friend your money? If you are on welfare, give your friend some of you welfare check.
