My favorite item(s) on my desk are the two more orthodox Roman Catholic Bibles and the looseleaf notebook paper and Cross pens I'm copying the Bible from / to / with. Like a lot of people, I realized a long time ago that there are numerous "translations" of the Bible, even within the same denominations, so, instead of whining and bitching about it, I took to a serious study of a few of them since I was unexpectedly retired a few years back due to an accident on the job, and I have more than ample spare time on my hands. I've already copied the New International Version when I was interested in the protestant version of Christianity, but then, when I realized I was finished with that copying, I returned to my Roman Catholic roots, and have selected two more orthodox versions reflecting a more original translation and how things were seen in the Roman Catholic Church back in my youth. It's a wonderful and extremely rewarding experience that I recommend to everyone and anyone who's interested in the Bible, and God. God Bless you.
