I have been friends with this guy for a really long time. Recently when he comes over things come up missing. Mostly money, ciggs, and small things you could fit into your pocket. I've never caught him in the act so i can't really prove it. When i asked him about it he said he would never do anything like that. But i know it's him, it couldn't be anybody else. What should i do? And is there anyway we can still be friends?

Well maybe next time he comes over you could set him up I guess you could say. If you have a camera or know someone with one. Set it up catch him in the act. that's my advice. If you are that sure that he is the one stealing things and you asked him if he did it and denies then get him on the camera

Place a cam corder somewhere he can't see it.
Leave some change or a few dollar bills laying out in the open and see if he takes the bait.
Dont look for the money or anything while hes there.
If it comes up missing, wait till he leaves and play the tape.
If you see him on the tape taking the money, next time he comes over tell him you have a video youd like him to watch with you.
Put the tape in and watch his face.
Afterwards politely tell him that you cant hang around someone who will steel from you and you will have to end your friendship and show him to the door.

This guy may have a problem such as drugs, etc. Realize that if he is stealing from you - you are his friend - he is not yours. You might try not being available when he wants to come over or just tell him that you can't remain friends if your things continue to come up missing when he's around. Your friends don't steal anything from you.

Burn me once it's your fault, burn me twice it's my fault. Learn from this and realize that this person has a problem with theft. That is not a friend in my books, someone who would steal from a so called friend. He should be able to tell you what is going on in his life if he needs so smokes, cash etc. Personally I'd approach him and tell him that I know he's been ripping me off and want to know what is causing it, is he going through a tough time. If he was to give me a reasonable answer I'd help him out as best as I could and tell him to stop stealing from me. If he still refused to fess up then I would end this relationship until he became honest with himself and me.

He is still doing this? Even after you asked him about it. He must not be able to help himself. No, I don't think you can be friends unless and until he apologizes and lets you know he has a problem. You deserve better friends than that.

Confront him and ask him to show you his pockets. If he continues to lie to you then there might not be any way for you to continue being friends any longer with a realationship that this damaged

tell him that you know someone has been stealing from you and you are trying to figure out who it is. and say all kinds of things like, you dont understand why someone would steal from you because if they needed something and they just asked, you would give it to them right? and just keep ranting on and on about this person whose stealing from you and how it really hurts your feelings that someone would do that to you. every time you see him or talk to him bring up this thief and talk about how its affecting you. he'll either feel really guilty and come clean, or stop! (i hope)

if you want to be friends with him, make sure that nothing is left down in his sight. dont let him in your bedroom or any other room in the house that you arent in.

he might be a klepto and cant help himself, but it sounds like he knows that you are a soft touch and he can take advantage.
