Believe it or not, I have actually made a decent living writing screenplays...but now that work is drying up. Writing (in any media) is my most marketable skill. How do I leverage that into a business? Am I dreaming?

Most professional writers out there spend most of their time writing other people's resumes. Every once in a while, they get lucky and land a job writing someone's memoirs. If that someone is famous enough, there may be some royalties in it for the writer.

Some writers also work with more established auhors on developing their franchises (the maestro writes the plot and then directs the efforts of the actual novek writer). Tom Clancy is probably the best known maestro of this genre...

I write screenplays too...............its very hard to get my work in the right place. Keep being told I need an Agent. Did you? Its harder to find an Agent who will look at your work than it is trying to sell your stuff......Ive shelved that idea for the time being. Was getting too despondant!
