cause its a game. women created the game, so therefor you must play by there rules. one of which is that one must flirt inorder to gain any notice by a women

Some people are too shy to ask out people they like, so they just flirt with them instead and hope they get the message :)

Sometimes people just do it naturally, and sometimes do it to prepare to ask someone out, and sometimes they do it because they're afraid to or don't think they would be successful asking someone out.
