You do know your subject line was an eye catcher, don't you? I pay my gardener $60 for the month, and he works about 1/2 hour each week. So probably pay the guy about $10 to $15 per hour. If you are employing him for "some other reason", oh the rates go WAY up.

Whenever I plan to hire someone I always ask what they charge. Let him make the decision, then decide whether that's affordable for you.
BTW, the last time I hired a "lovely gentleman" and then failed to supervise him, he limbed all my trees (which he was NOT instructed to do) and took my trimmer away for service without my authorization. Beware of lovely gentlemen!
