I think you can be an authorized user at any age for a Credit Card. Debit card very from bank to bank. Some will come with a MasterCard or Visa symbol on it and some will just be a normal atm card. I had an atm card from my savings account when I was 9 without my parent signature.

You have to be at least 18 years old to get a credit card. However, you can get a debit card at a much younger age. I think I got my first bank account with debit card at 14. My mom had to sign for it or at least have her name on the account under mine.

you can be 15 to get a debit card but u have to have a joint account with a guardian. It's not that bad though .

old enough to start a checking account. Just get your parents to take you down and start one. I think 12 is a good age to get one cause you can't over draw on most debit cards.

The answer to your question is 18 by yourself. But, you can have a joint account with your parent/legal guardian...but there name will be on it.....prior to age 18.

It may be different at all banks, but at the c.u. I work at, you have to be atleast 15 with a parent/guardian joint with you.

18 you have to sign a legal contract, you are not legal till then.
