Keep in mind that whenever your order or purchase a motor vehicle from another country, and sometimes even from another state, that in order for you to operate it here it has to be equipped according to local law. If you purchase a Vespa from Vietnam, it may (I don't know) be street ready when it arrives in the U.S., but it may not. Vietnam will probably have different emission laws than the U.S. You may get it here and have a hard time registering it until you provide the necessary modifications so that it complies with your state's emission standards, and any other safety standards that were not required in Vietnam (such as specific brake requirements, lighting, horn, etc). Best to make this kind of inquiry before buying it and having it shipped, so you can factor in the entire cost of the purchase.
