Although my wife's father performed fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, I'll spare you that speech. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.
I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional story about a fake mission to Mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.
12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we have neither the resources nor the technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.
The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you think they would have called us out if they had evidence that it was all fake?
Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 35+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? The beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on at 3 different locations.
Case closed.

Ken Ham and his crew at the Creationism Museum in Kentucky, among others. I'm not going to lower myself into providing a link. You can find it on Google if you really must; but an alarming number of people have paid their $20 to walk through its doors and I assume that not all of them have gone for a laugh. If the creationist position is true, every creature in the world was made at the same time, around 6000 years ago, then of course men and dinosaurs must have walked the earth together. Most will have become extinct during the Flood, apart from the few kinds that made it onto the Ark, which will themselves have died out shortly afterwards (so why Noah bothered to take them is a good question). What you also need to remember is that initially all dinosaurs were vegetarians, so Adam and Eve were in no danger of becoming T Rex's lunch as long as he stayed in Eden. However, after their explusion, some animals became carnivores so at that point any dinosaurs in this category might well have tried to kill any human beings they encountered. It's all very, very silly.

Ever hear of William of Ockham's Razor? It should be applied here. I hear that some TV show said the Moon landing was a hoax, but I've seen some of the arguments and rebuttals on Discovery on TV. Some people want to believe conspiracies exist everywhere. What do you want to believe? I try to look at all of the facts objectively before I form an opinion. That stuff about a faked Moon Landing is just too wild to be true.

we did land on the moon. Keep in mind that is the same time frame that brought you the original star wars movies. THe cg then was terrible, and if we faked the landing it wouldnt of looked real. Besides even though we did have a reason to lie about landing on the moon back then, that being to win the space race, we dont know, and besides it doesnt even matter because even if we didnt do it back then we certainatly can do it now. I think the one guy made a great point that we have technology there. Unless the soviets put it there for us, im inclined to believe that we actually went there.

We went to the moon, if we hadn't then they would have said everything on the moon matched up with the predictions of what the moon would be like instead of very little dust, the moon is hollow (seismograph readings). I have a videotape from 5 yrs ago that is falling apart so yes after 37 yrs the NASA tapes could be falling apart too.

No doubt the original videotapes have been digitized and are stored on some computer somewhere. In the meantime, the astronomers are happily using lasers to measure the exact distance to the moon, with the help of the reflectors that the astronauts left there.

I agree the whole "missing video" thing is extremely suspicious. How come other 1960's video (like the Kennedy assassination) is not missing or degraded? I don't think the moon landings were faked but now I'm a little suspicious.

the government has lost alot of funding for nasa lately, due to the high amount of problems and accidents leading to loose of life on the shuttles. Also nasa has lost alot of peoples interest in the space program, so less and less funding is available so less and less we even try to go up their anymore.

We know men were on the moon, because they left things we can now identify on the surface: Retroreflectors detectable with a laser.
