I know this has nothing to do with travel, but it seems that most people who answer the questions here are from the area and more likely to have an answer. I've searched the web and can't find one close to where we live or any phone numbers. The phone book is no help whatsoever.

If you live anywhere near Chicago Heights, (South of Chicago) try Prairie State College. They have a truck driving class set up. (At least they did when I used to live there). Also, Kankakee Community College had a truck driving course.
Good Luck!

Professional Truck Driving School is in Summit Il. Google shows 41/2 stars, good school and has job placement when you finish, and even later if you change jobs they will help you. Yelp gives them 5 star rating.

you're right this has nothing to do with travel... but I will at least send you a website on to get you started. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, comm colleges are the cheapest ways to go.
