I buy several different makeup products and I end up not liking a lot of them, so it's a waste of my money. I like the shimmery look. Are there any suggestions on good brands, or any tips on what to put on? Know where I can go to get some free samples, that way if I don't like it I will have not wasted my money?

Loreal is a really great brand I love it, Physicians Formula is good too, and has really great shimmers and bronzing.

When I was younger, i used to use the el cheapo brands, too. Please do yourself a favor and go to an upscale store and try on some Shiseido or Bobbi Brown. I also love Merle Norman. They have the BEST skin care and eye make-up. I have trouble finding a foundation that suits me, though. Stay away from Clinique and Mac. Clinique is very orange and Mac looks cakey, bright, and unnatural. Loreal has some decent foundations and powders, (N1) but the expensive stuff works so much better. If you are very pale, Shiseido has some nice foundations I-00 and PK307 is a very lovely shade of lipstick. if you want to try a cheapish powder, try Nature Republic. It's a Korean brand and the powder goes on very smooth and the color is so beautiful.

I love Mary Kay and the great thing about it is that you can try everything before you buy it. It's really good makeup and skin care and you get your very own personal beauty consultant. The only downfall is that you can't just go to the store when you need more of something but if you have a good consultant they can get it for you the same day and even deliver it to your door.

bareminerals! I love this makeup. I have always had problems with bad skin, and this makeup has made a HUGE different. My facial lady gave me samples and that is where I buy it. It does not go into your pores but covers everything. I also use the blush. You can reapply multiple times during the day if you need to (I dont because it really covers well).

ok try l'oreal paris thye have great products for a good prices i think if u go to kolhs they have some smapes of everthink so u can try them there try tosee if u have akohlsnear u thats lets u try the makeup and see if u luv it but i think u will luv l'oreal coz belive me i wasted a lot of money too for buying the rite makeup brand and now i finally found that l'oreal is a great brand they have everything u need from lipgloss to shampoos and everything in between so try l'oreal paris i like this brand coz they have gret products and great quality for a resonable price

I use Mac. Try visiting www.sephora.com. This website has all different types of makeup, with recommendations for different skin types. Also, it provides makeup in different price ranges (from designer to 'not- designer'). When you order from Sephora, they send free samples with the order.

I use a different type of brand for different things...
I like RIMMEL for mascara because they have the comb instead of that annoying brush
I like Physicians Formula for bronzer cause you can match it to your skin
RIMMEL for eyeliner because it goes on smoothly
REVLON for foundation because skinlights is a lotion instead of a foundation
COVER GIRL for a liquid Powder because it comes in a nice Tanned color
I've Tried some of the more expensive ones and found they dont make any difference, it all depends on the product and what you are using it for..

i also like sephora
wait. those are stores. lol but yeh try them. they`re a little price-y[sp] but worth it. besides what`s better. getting makeup that works for a little more or a bunch of cheap makeup that gets thrown away xD
