I have 2 friends that have in the Twin Cities area. One had a Eagle Talon and he got popped twice this last summer and now the police own his car, a $30,000 loss. My other friend has a 500+HP camero and got ticketed once and the fine was over $500 but his insurance dropped him for 5 years and he received a warning from the cops which means 1 more time in 12 months will mean the loss his car forever and license for 2 years. If your city is not tough on racing yet, wait a little. I ride a GSXR 1000 and ride hard at speeds you wish you could maintain, never understood why people like your type of street racing. But if you love it, more power to ya. But if you kill someone I love because you suck at racing, you night as well just lay down and die.

Yeah, I got busted 30 years ago (drag racing) we had something
like 100 people lined up and down the road watching or
taking part ,, this went on every Sunday until the state police
broke it up , I got a ticket for speeding and a lane violation ,
no big deal back then , I had a 1964 Buick Special 310 hp
it was sweet, I miss those days and that car ,,

Fine isn't too bad, you can get your car back, but it's a lot of legal hassle, and takes a lot of time. Best way to not get caught is to not race on the street. It's lots cheaper and less hassle to go to an open track day or to your local drag strip.

Try getting your car taken for good and then sending it to get it crashed or demolished. New law, you won't see your car ever again.

it depends on how fast you were going.

we used to have a stretch of highway where i lived that we would use every friday night.

the police cracked down on that too.

now we do the racetrack. its legal and its fun, more expensive, but fun
