I have replaced both belts, but the V belt is very loose. Manual says if replaced properly, that belt should be loose, but It is VERY loose. I'm thinking maybe if I replaced the brush roller, that would work. I just don't get it...any other suggestions or theories?? Thanks for any help.

if you already changed the belts, contact the customer service number and ask for help or a replacement

make sure you are using the correct belt model first

try a vac/sew shop near you

between the excuses I no longer very own a Hoover. in case you're taking it to a fix facility, you will discover that the gears/bearings for the beater bars are undesirable and that's what's throwing the belts off whilst they lock up. It in all threat will value as plenty to repair it because it extremely is going to to get a sparkling sweeper. Get a Bissell next time and you would be surprised at what the Hoover replaced into leaving on your carpets.

unplug the unit then make a visual inspection dont overlook the obvious is the belt broke is it backed up with krap is there something caught arround the shaft is there stuff in the areas that vacumed air pushes into the holding area for dust look you dont have to have 5 vacumes or so like my buddie does everytime something gos wrong they git a new one cause there either not with the program and are smart other ways or there to lazy to sit down and look at the dust maker

if the roller spins freely you shouldn't have to replace it. Try turning it on while it's tipped over and see if the v belt is spinning. If not replace the v belt.
