Is my little sis ready to put on make-up?

shes 10 years old what should I say to her put on make-up or don't put on make-up?

Well often, younger kids want to grow up very fast. They look up to so many older stars, siblings, or people in magazines or tv. I think 10 is a little young to wear full-out make up, otherwise for a dance show or pageant, or somkething like that. Maybe she could wear a lip gloss or something suttle, but not eyeshadow, mascara, bright red lipstick, or anyything drastic! You're only young once. Let her know that.

no u should tell her that she cant wear makeup at this age coz she's tooooooooo younggggg her skin is till growing and she has young skinif she uses any foundation or eyehsdow it could ruin her skin easily since she has young skin i think she should not wear at all at this age but if she reallyyyyyyy wants to then let her use a kids lipgloss like u know lipsmacker or stuuf thats for for children like nyc but u shouldnot let her use anything else until she's the age 14 she will ruin her skin too soon if she uses makeup at this age and i dont think she really needs makeup so dontlet her use anything beside a lipgloss maybe from lipsmackers or u can go to arden or claires they have children lipgloss u should only buyher that and talk to her and tell her and explain her that she too young for makeup

Thats too young...but if she really wants too... have both of you guys just play around with it inside the house so she gets out her desire to wear it. I would wait like 2 years until shes 12 or a little before.

She's too young to wear makeup in public. Maybe in private while in the company of your own home. But I wasn't aloud to start wearing makeup until I was twelve and I'm glad. When I did do makeup {I used to sneak it in sixth grade when i got to school and wash it off before I left} I made the mistake of blue eyeshadow up to my eyebrows, very pale powder, and brown lip gloss.
I suggest you teach her a sensible way to put on makeup so she doesn't end up like me and explain to her that she doesn't need makeup. At least not until she's eleven or twelve or until she can prove she can put it on in a sensible way.

I think that 10 is WAY too young to be wearing makeup. She is still a kid! I didn't wear makeup until I was 14. There is just no real reason for a kid who is 10 to be walking around with makeup on.

She's pretty young but you don't want to always treat her like she's a little kid and can't do anything.
So let her put on like lip gloss and perphaps a little blush.
When she starts getting competitive with other girls for boys, etc. in junior high or w/e, she can start to apply more and more.

10 is WAY to young!!!! Wait until she is 12, or 13, and then, don't even wear too much!! For now, just let her stick with lip gloss, and MAYBE some natural colored eyeshadow, but ONLY for special occasions!!!

i think once she starts getting spots on blackheads, thats the time to start wearing make-up. but i think first, you should stress to her that she is pretty without make-up as well as with. i think 10 is an ok age really, just to be starting to play test out different make-ups. but 10 is not thte age to wear it to school. i wouldn't let her do that until she is 13/14.

tell her to wait 2 more years and then she can wear some light makeup- for now though i recommend some nail polish and lipsmacker lip gloss(no harm in that since its clear- and the nail polish is the fun part you know!) and then maybe get her ears peirced at 15 or so.....
