Go to the county courthouse and visit the clerks office, they should be able to tell you who you need to see. They will have all the information including the owner(s) and their addresses and phone number.

1. Find out who owns it, The county court house is a good place to start, and they are usually very glad to help you find this type of information.

2. Contact the current owner and see if they are willing and/or able to sell. Sometimes there are multiple owners who can't agree and that might be a reason for it to be empty.

3. Be prepareed to make a reasonable offer.(today there are more ways then ever to finance a home).

If you know a real estate agent they can use the address in the MLS to see info. on a property. If not, Public Records in the county courthouse.
