I don't think that science and the stories and events we read of in the Bible are at odds with each other. After all God Created man with all the knowledge he will forever need, it is only that man refuges to understand that the questions of mater, physical and spiritual are all tired together giving humanity all the tools it needs to settle all the problems of the world. Science is the ability of man to find those answers, and God gave man the tools of science to reach those goals.

zephyr's right, this is a religion question, but since i'm here....
i think the scientific is just a backup to prove that these things did in fact happen and to strenghten faith.
if you take this scientific evidence as debunking religion then you should really resolve your own faith issues.
I, personally don't put much stock in "organized religion" they're run by men and men are corrupt. But I do have faith and I am a christian. I'm just not any man's sheep. I prefer to think of myself as one of jesus' faithful. I don't know that the miracles he performed are scientificaly provable, but to me they don't have to be, they're real to me because I have faith that they really happened. the scientific only backs up the faith aspect for me. it gives my faith stronger resolve.
