The highest paved road in the US is US34 in Rocky Mountain National Park, west of Estes Park, Colorado. Its Fall River Pass is 11796ft. There are higher roads that are unpaved, for example the gravel road to the summit of Pikes Peak at 14110ft. I don't know how long it took to finish.

Alot of people are working on getting these clues answered -- it says in the rules you can only have FOUR team members and no outside help -- this is cheating. Plus asking for the answer to be posted online for everyone to see isnt going to help you, only hurt you, because everyone in the contest can see the same answer, which means everyone will get that point for the question, and will leave you right where you started. Not only is it more fair, it is also smarter to keep these to yourself. I have the answer, and it is none of what has been listed. I found it from a little work and searching online -- as you can too instead of asking others for the answers.

Actually, it is a common misconception that the highest paved road in the US is US route 34 ("Trail Ridge Road") in Rocky Mountain National Park.

While that may be the highest paved through road, the highest paved road of any type is the road that goes to the top of Mt. Evans - Colorado route 5 ("Mt. Evans Highway").

The road ends at a parking lot, and to get back down, you double back the same way you came up. But since it ends just below the peak (14,264 feet), it is unequivocally the highest paved road in the US.

you know its so funny that people on here are talking about cheating but yet here they are reading the question and looking at the answers the same as everybody else. no where in the rules does it say you cannot post questions on the Internet to get the answers. As far as the answers they are not always correct answers. People who get on here and complain about this are just stupid as i see it cause for you to post in this section you have to look at the question first. So you'll must be searching for answers to begin with to look here and see the questions.

What cry babies. You're cheating. It may say that only four team members, but it doesn't say where you can research.
