Me, to a degree - we need to act when there is a known danger. Bush acted on the danger that he WANTED to find, not a REAL danger.

Don't you think whatever happens in other countries affects us too? We all live in the same world. We all breathe the same air, and swim in the same ocean. We all burn the same oil, eat the same fish, and buy the same products made all over the world. How do you stop worrying about what is going on in the rest of the world? Everything that happens in the world affects us in one way or another.

Should we also stop doing business with other countries? Stop trading with them? Stop all foreign aid? That's what you're talking about doing. Politics is an element of and flows from all of these activities. The only way to eliminate the politics is to completely eliminate the interactions. I really don't see how that's possible.

Very true.. I definitely agree. A couple examples:
- invasion of Iraq (despite UNs decision to wait out and agree on a plan)
- butting into the dispute between China and Taiwan about Taiwan seperating into its own nation
Ok, so their excuse is that their own safety is at stake sometime and I will agree but they take things way too far without enough research and do so too independantly, because they believe they are better than the other countries.

I have always felt that way. Why should we send food or water to other countries when there are so many people over here starving?
Why don't people go there and teach them how to farm, how to purify the water and whatever needs to be done?
I'm sure the land would be perfect for farming if the locals knew how to plant and whatever else needs to be done.

i agree, but sometimes u need to be nice to gain allies in case of a war; like with iraq right now. it sucks but that's life and politics. u also need to take care of countries again like iraq before they become a bigger threat.

The worst that can ever happens to a country is to attract the attention of the US. For the sake of world peace, please, please, please; GRINGO, GO HOME! We've been imploring this for almost a century.
