Other than Ebay, where can I get rare car parts?

I have a 1982 AMC Eagle and need both the front and read fenders. Actually, I need the"fender extenders".

I also have a rare car, and the Internet -- specifically Internet forums -- have been an invaluable resource for me. You can talk to other owners, get maintenance and repair tips, and find sources for your hard-to-find parts. A quick search, and I found: http://www.amceaglenest.com

There's a forum there, so if you cannot find the parts you are looking for, you can ask other owners. I'm sure if you look around, you can find other forums/sites about your car.

I would try Hemmings Motor News (a collection of paper classifieds) and AMC or Mopar club message boards.

You can try some of the aftermarket sources like Keystone automotive, another good choice is car-part.com, it is a junkyard locating service, you can enter what type of vehicle you have what part you want, where you want to look. then it gives you prices and phone numbers and locations, its awesome. Also try some of the hot rod mags, look in the back they have a some swap shop type ads.

Try some online forums and enthusiast websites. I'm sure there's an AMC forum somewhere. Also, try your local auto recycler (junkyard.)
