no, it can be fun. Like anything else, it's what you make of it. .
You can have a great time and learn a lot at the same time.
It's just another step up the ladder in your life and in your education. Enjoy it and be there for the reason you're supposed to be there. To learn, make friends, enjoy the activities they have in place for you (sports, clubs, etc.). .

It will be if you go there expecting it to be hard, crappy and not fun at all. If you're asking about middle school, you must have recently left elementary, which means you are around 13-14 years old. That's pretty young to have such a negative attitude!
Middle school is unlike elementary, because you have more freedom, you take different classes with different teachers (that can be a REAL plus because if you don't like one teacher, you're only stuck with him or her for an hour at a time, then you move on to another teacher. Or it can be a downer. If you really like one teacher, you only have a class with him or her for an hour at a time.)
Your gym classes will be more interesting, and there will be more options for you to pursue, like shop classes, automotive classes, etc.
There will be after school options as well, sport teams, science fair projects, school newspaper, debating team, choir, band, etc.
So this year can be whatever you want it to be.
Most people find middle school an exciting challenge, a step forward that means they have outgrown elementary school and elementary things and are now ready to move on with their lives.

it can be fun socially: parties dances school sporting events etc.
i thought english was hard and social studies but no worse than elementary school
just try your best not to be a conformist
go along only if you want to
watch the company you keep

No... I had TONS of fun in middle school. 8th grade was my best year, but it was sad to leave and go to high school... which is where I'm going this year.

no. and dont worry you will be fine i was really scared that it would be hard and i wouldnt fit in but the things you worry about the most usually dont turn it out that bad

academically, no.
socially, It can be the hardest time of your life. Keep your chin up and be yourself. don't do drugs.

Well it depends where you go. If you go to a small school, it can fun but hard. IDK about bi g schools
