Superman is the best superhero for a couple of reasons.
First he is basically unbeatable his one flaw of being weekend by kryptonite is laime.
Secondly he is the original superhero. Everyone else was a copy cat.
Thirdly he was baised after biblical charictors like Samson hence his super strength originally his only power.
Fourthly he is portrayed as having the right morals and always able to make the right desition.
Lastly all of his powers are something that anyone would want.
Super strength is awesome many other super hero's copied that from him. The same goes for super speed invicibility and flight. The heat vision is pretty awesome cyclops has that. The freeze breath is a little out there but it is still cool no pun intended.

Ms Marvel
Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew)
The best characters are those that have their flaws. It's the reason why I think Superman is so bland, and even though Ms Marvel is super strong, she is anything but perfect.

Colossus from the X-Men. Amazing strength and speed, coupled with metal plating on his skin, appearing with only a thought - invulnerability.
Not to mention his great emotion and assistance given to others he loves.
