It is an incredibly dull fiction novel by Mary Shelley. It is exactly like the movie but more depressing.

FRANKENSTEIN (note the spelling) is a novel, a piece of fiction, by Mary Shelley. It, along with DRACULA by Bram Stoker, has served as great examples of the Gothic novel. It is a short novel. You'll love it!! I taught it in English class for many years, and it was always one of the favorites of my students.
