What is the best way to ensure i get the lead in a musical?

i'll be competing against the teachers favorite. i think sing better than she does just because she hasn't had as much experience in music but she's had more acting experience.

I was going to say something sarcastic, like bribe the judges, but seriously, the only way is to be better than your competition. Keep practicing. Do your best and good luck.
