I'm not sure you ever do. However, the pain or pleasure associated from the incedent will diminish over time. As the old adage goes, "time heals everything". So true I might add. Try not to focus so much on letting go but engaging in positive experiences that deter or distract. As time goes by you'll slowly, but surely, begin to accept the loss and even appreciate the memory. Oh yeah, don't take yourself too seriously either! Good luck!

u accept what happened.. u let it shape u into a Better person. for whatever reasons, there was a problem w/ the relationship. it doesn't mean there wasn't love there. it means that something was stopping the relationship from Growing. it could have been u, it could've been the other person, it could've been distance..WHATEVER it was, it happened. Keep the positive memories, and let go of the negative..... learn from ur mistakes, from the other person's mistakes.... become a better, stronger Man who CAN and WILL take care of a woman's needs and wants. work on ur confidence in yourself as a Great Boyfriend.. if u know u can take care of ur woman w/ love and respect, and grow the trust between yourselves, u got that part covered. all u have to do now is find the *right* woman who can love you back, and satisify your needs as well. that u can have respect for eachother, love eachother *AND* communicate and grow together. that is a necessity...u have to use that love to fuel ur ability to communicate and build on the relationship. without that work, ur love becomes stagnant, stale, and turns into frustration. remember, a relationship takes WORK to keep it alive. but it is a satisfying work, something u WANT to do because that person is so worth it. therefore, find someone who can be that for you, and Do that for you, and it is something to hold on to. until then, keep working on urself to be better, positive, happy, and Whole, to be able to give fully and receive fully from someone who is willing and able to do the same!
