You just have to get to know them. Find out what their education is and what they do for a living. Find out if they are broke all the time or if they are comfortable. It isn't something you can just look at a guy and tell.

Ask him what investment brokerage he would reccommend to handle your money.
If he stares at you blankly, he's poor.
If he goes on and on about his best friend, his CPA, he's rich.
If he asks you why YOU would be asking that question, he's a gold digger.
Also, if he DOESN'T dress up, that's a sign of wealth. People who aren't rich often Try Too Hard.
