Condoms are a form of birth control... same with the pill, abstinence, pull out method(not very effective form), ect. Buuut, typically when people say birth control they are referring to the pill.

Birth control (or contraception) is anything that prevents pregnancy from occuring. Condoms are a form of birth control and a particularly good one because they also help prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. The pill is another form of birth control. And you're right, the man wears the condom (there's a female condom, too, but it's far less commonly used than the male one) and females take the pill.

If you want to know about all the various forms of birth control, how they are used, and how effective they are, check out Planned Parenthood's website.

There are condoms for guys and there are condoms for girls. Girls also use the pill, foam, patch, film etc. Learn all about the uses of condoms, and birth control. But you shouldn't have sex until you are ready for the responsibilty of raising a baby into adulthood. With condoms and birth control... there is still the chance of getting pregnant. The only 100% way to avoid pregnancy and STD's is NOT TO HAVE SEX.

Condoms are a form of birth control..and so is the pill..they both work in different ways.
Condoms block the sperm from getting into the girls body.
The pill works with the girls body to make it hard to get pregnant..its best to use both because condoms also block stds

You were correct. Both the condom and the pill are methods or types of birth control. Condoms are used by men and the pill is used by women. Condoms also protect you from getting a sexually transmitted disease.

condoms are partial birth control ---not 100% birth control and they are really good for STD protection....but again, not 100%
girls and guys should ALL carry condoms and there are female condoms too, which are inserted into the woman instead of over the man.

as for the pill---that is strictly birth control and is not 100% effective--it's close, but not 100%

so, if you use both condoms and the pill, then you are in really good shape for protecting yourself from pregnancy and STDs!!

now, there are many other forms of "protection" out there:
-nuva ring--birth control for women
-the patch--birth control for women
-spermicide--birth control
the list goes on....for a really extensive info go to your local planned parenthood or women's clinic and they can help fill you in.

take care!

You are 13, then go ask your parents they are the ones who brought you into this world then they are the ones who needs to teach you about condoms and birth control pills. You are their responsibility not the internet's.

Well birth control is what you get when you go to the doctor and get a pap-smear girls only take this stuff

Condoms are usually what guys put on before having sex and they do make girl condoms to but they are not very common.

hope this helps~

there are condoms for both boys and girls.
Condoms protect u both from deceases and pregnancy.
when u put a boy condom on it stays on,but u have to hold the ones for girls with one hand. That's so annoying.
Birth control pills are used by girls to prevent pregnancy only ! U are not protected from anything else (aids for example ).
So always use a condom !
