Do you just wade in the water to cool off? Dive in and swim for fitness? Swim under water as far as you can just for kicks? Dive? Splash around? Cannonball? Pool or Ocean? Just tell me what swimming means to you.

I don't know. That's a question that's hard to explain. I don't know if it comes from my genes or is it because of my sign, Aquarius. I guess it's because I love being in the water. When I'm in the pool, it seems all my troubles are gone. It's just the water and me. It's hard to explain. I have been on the swim team for one year and I can't get enough it. I look forward to practice, even though my friends think I'm crazy. I swim for fitness, for my team, and for fun.

I take a deep breath, hold it and just float on the surface sometimes.
I've been able to hold it about 3 minutes.
I also like to play "Shark", get all the air out of my lungs so I can just lay on the bottom or swim around, about 2 minutes at a time. I even grab legs sometimes! I'm really skinny so I sink real well. (Fat floats)
I was at a swim party once and me and the guys were just fooling around and someone pushed me in. For kicks, I pretended to drown, then I laid near the bottom for a minute or so like I was a goner. That got people scared! :)

I love swimming period. I love the ocean and swimming under water is where you'll find me most of the time. I also freedive. Pools for me are more for just relaxing and practicing. I'm scuba certified but do not use this method. I prefer freediving - in the ocean. Did I mention that I love the Bahamas!!! Yes!!!
