Well, American women are independent. You will need to be prepared to accept the cultural difference. Women will go to work, wear what they like, have men as friends, etc. etc. In short, they will be expected to be treated as your equal.

I agree w/ the previous answer. If you really had a connection w/ an American woman, it could work, but only if you can accept her the way she is. American women are grateful to find a loyal and loving husband, but we are free to leave if men are controlling or abusive. I am so grateful I was born in America just for those reasons alone.

American woman like independence, freedom of choice, free expression, dignity. Big cultural difference, so avoid.

I'm married to an Arab man and he treats me like I'm a worthless person. I'm a women, so he thinks I don't know anything about anything. He talks to me like I'm his slave and I'm to obey his every command. Why are you different???
