I have 3 kids all under 5 and i have started i have to now as hubby gets paid monthly now not weekly. I am sad but i am also pratical think like this if you start now christmas will be paid for and you don't have to worry about it in January so you'll have extra money for those sales. well that's my plan perfect. LOL

Absolutley not, in fact ive have bought christmas presents just this morning. Christmas is not cheap and if you are a responsible parent, then you want to get your kids what they ask for. Doing it like this spreads the cost, and you are more likely to be able to get what the kids want, leave it later and the shops sell out. i have always done it like this and i reap the rewards when i see other people rushing around and getting stressed later in the year

You are not sad at all, you do what you want to do, and bugger other peoples opinion. I think you should ditch your mate, because if she cant accept you for the way you are or respect what you like to do, then she is not a mate. Hope this makes you feel better

I would rather start early then get stuck doing it last minute. I also think that picking up things here and there cuts down on the financial strain of putting all the money out at once. Then again I am on yahoo answers too so according to her I would be a sad person right along with you. However, I disagree with her opinion.

No! You are not crazy. Things are more expensive now than ever. Buying all the gifts from mom and dad now leaves more money at Christmas to spend on the last minute Santa gift that your child can't live without. It also insures that you have more money to spend on each other, but if your husband still disagrees then wait until Christmas to shop and show him.

I think you're a very smart person for doing your christmas shopping so early. I wish that I was as motivated to get it done before the month before. I think that you're alleviating a lot of stress from your life, and hmm...maybe by doing this, you'll have more time to spend with your mate.

No you are not sad. Buying for three kids is'nt cheap. I used to start my christmas shopping October. I was on benefits at the time and had three boys. It certainly helped keep the cost down.

I started my xmas shopping a month ago, I saw stuff in the sale and thought why not?? if I wait till Dec it's gonna cost double, now I always look for bargains, so, come Dec we two can sit back and watch the rest go mad!!

i dont think you are sad. I try to have mine sorted in October early November as I have 4 little people to keep happy - and one large person who also needs lots of fussing!!!

One thing always bothers me tho - how do you know what they want for Christmas so early in the year? I end up getting the little bits and leaving the main present till last as so many things come out late December.

I think it is a great idea to start your Christmas shopping now. It's a big task when you have 3 children and you are really smart to start it now and now wait until you'll be all stressed out!!! Your mate doesn't know what he is talking about!! LOL

You're logical! Not at all sad - no matter what anyone says.

At the end of the day, you'll have the shopping done with and you won't be stressed out with last-minute shopping!
