Hi all does any here use natural trainig methods with their horses.
I use most of the time and i have just handled 2 new 2 yrs olds that were unhandled with great success i also tie my own pressure halters and i use the halters to educate with pressure and release and approach and retreat both were leading out the same day
and are approachable to catch and bring in ,tie up both are learning to yield and respecting my space space .In ref to feeding
they are both eating feed now i put a little apple juice in and away they chewed .
I will back the both of them next year using natural training its so nice not to have rude or problem horses and they enjoy what they do and so do i .best wishes to all .

I use natural methods with all the horses I work with (most are screwed up by people, that's how I come to work on them). Monty Roberts training is fantastic, I can't praise him and Kelly Marks enough, have adopted lots of their practices, makes my job a whole lot easier and soooooooo rewarding, I wouldn't use anything else. Currently dealing with a 2 year old coloured cob who is nearing 16 hands already (previously owned by gypsies so you KNOW how she's been treated), responding really really well, also a sport horse conemara who's been abused for years, but over jumping and stuff, took this very scared and scarey to handle horse back to basics, did join up with her, now is an absolute pleasure to be around (2 years of not being able to catch her by previous owners). Have fun, sounds like what you are doing is great, I'm all for natural horse handling! Good on you (fellow UK person)

I prefer Monty Roberts natural training to anyone else's. I have heard too many complaints fmo the Parelli people that their horse wont get off of them once they have taught them the games. Plus I have been using Monty Robert's technique for years and it works.

Yes, I love the natural training. I've watched alot of Clinton Anderson dvd's and like his methods the best. There are many out there, but for me, I like this ways. Natural way is the best!
