Great movie trilogy...one of my favourites. Books were even better.

I love The Lord of the Rings. My whole family had read the books before the movies came out. We were so excited when we heard they were going to be made into movies. We were a little sceptical about whether they would do a good job or not. We were all really pleased with the way they were done. About 5 of us went to see all three at the theatre when they released the last one. We were in the theatre from noon until about 4 in the morning but it was totally worth it. What a great experience.

YES ...much better adaptation of the books than Harry Potter movies =T.. i love HP books but the movies were lifeless.
LOTR movies are truly awesome, and really capture the spirit of the story.... in fact, i can't wait to watch the Un CUT editions! i hear they are long, but it is so worth it!

yes me and my dad and brother will have a couple nights in a row where we watch LOTR and i can quote those movies so well its sad. its like a family event i love lord of the rings

What do you mean do I /like/ that movie? I absolutely love all three! My sister had our grandmother make her and her friends velevet capes and they went to all of the opening shows for all three of the movies. They saw each of the movies in theatures about 10 times each. Our entire family is a fan of Lord Of The Rings. My sister (the same one) quotes almost the entire movie perfectly when we watch it. It's amazing how addicted we are.

Of course. It's one of the most well done literary adaptations out there. I think those are hard to do right.
