SAP Training where to start
A Lot of people wonder whether they should follow a SAP training in order to start their SAP career as a consultant.
The key question is to get experienced in SAP and not if you have followed a SAP training.
When you follow a SAP training you get a lot of concepts about the structure of SAP and functions of SAP.
However a SAP training is not giving you any information about what you should do as a consultant. That is why it is better to get experienced on SAP as a key user before you start any SAP training on your own. If you already know the SAP system as a user, then what you need to know is the customizing of the functions. The SAP training will really help you in becoming a SAP consultant.

Depend upon which type of IT you are working in. If you have skills in a specialty area, or up-coming program you can get jobs. E.g. user-interface, security, imaging-driven applications and encryption areas are booming. Transaction processing and conversion jobs are going overseas because people there need to eat and will work long hours in grunt jobs so they can feed their family. Typically, Indian IT works 15 hour days for euqivalent of $500 a month.

Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careerbuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can apply for jobs and upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired.

Last summer, my husband lost his jog about two months after our youngest was born. He was out of work for about three months and had to take a $10,000 pay cut just to get back to work so we wouldn't lose everything. In the meantime, I had to go against doctor's orders and go back to work (two part-time jobs) just to try and help out. (There were severe complications during an emergency c-section and I still have problems.) We somehow managed to keep everything and get all of the bills back on track as of this past March. What a nightmare!
Good luck in your search!

Yes we have a friend who is an IT and he had a time finding a job. He finally took a contract in Katrina land. His contract ran out and he is looking again. Also another friend who had to move across country for a IT job. He was lucky and got hired by a university.

Yeah that market is flooded with people and the tech keeps getting better so you need less people to handle it. Check out nursing or something like that that pays well that they can't write a program to replace you with.
