Why are we as people so addicted to violence, killing and only look out for number one? Why don't we stop all of this fighting, all of this poverty? We are all brothers and sisters so why fight? What happened to the love? There are people dieing in 3rd world countries every 3 seconds and we say we are doing something when were not really. Most of us aren't giving u p our prized possessions to help those worse off than us.
We say we dont like violence yet we are giving our children video games whith fighting in. We ourselves often demonstrate violence even though we say we hate it.
Also what about the poor children out there with parents who dont love them or with out any parents. Some of you may say you hate your parents but would you have liked it if your were abandoned as a baby?
Again there is the 'Make Poverty History Campaign' but just buying the band does nothing at all except for raise a bit of money. We should stand up and speak up about what is right and where the love is

I agree with you. STOP THE VIOLENCE! But before we can help other countries we need to help our own communities and country. It starts at home and once we stop it locally then we need to expand where we help. That goes for both violence and poverty. I think if more people would find God the violence would end. Keep trying and dont give up. Although we can't do it alone we can make a difference. God bless you.

look at your last 2 sentences ... why do you wanna stand up and talk about it? "just buying the band does nothing at all except for raise a bit of money." what is the most important part here? saving someone's life in a 3rd world country through giving "a bit of money" or by speaking about it? buy the band, buy 1 for each family member and friend and save 10 lives. don't sit around and think & talk about it - take action. let it start in your own life - you take the responsibility. show others you care and they might follow...

How much money have you given with love to charity this last week alone, bet it wasn't as much as you could afford to either, we have poverty in our country too, the old, sick and neglected children are suffering, no one cares enough about our own to help so why on earth would you expect them to bother about the whole worlds suffering, love is only a word, it has to be said from the heart to mean anything.

Though I appreciate your idealism, truly, I find it almost inconcievable that ppl don't realize why there is famine and drought. We as a planet are overpopulated. It is that simple. As for violence, that is what they teach us and give us. The ideas of love and sex as things of beauty are to harmonizing a feature to present, without us growing to soft in the face of less educated people throughout the world who only want to dominate us for their own gain. If we did do that, we would be the French.
