The Independent party is the only party that could save this country from the future chaos to come, but the chances of a Independent being President let alone have any power in the House or Congress is next to nothing. This is a 2 party country for a reason, and both parties will agree to keep it this way no matter what. A Independent leader would disrupt this corrupt system and make politics more public and accountable to the people. With the rules set up the way they are, only the rich can obtain power in our system. It would take an overthrow of our current government to change things, and this would and could never happen. And has this what we have come to, where the only way to get justice and liberty back is with violence? This country needs a HERO!

Definitely independent, unless you're a multi-millionaire. I'm a member of the Green Party, and I like Libertarians, too. They're the only parties that put the will of the people first. Not just once in awhile to get votes, but because they are real people and they really do care. About each and every one of us.

But I want the thieving, lying hypocritical republicans out of there so bad that I'm voting for all democrats for the first time since 1976. There will be better years. Unless the repubs win again.

If they do, I will finally be totally convinced that we do have banana-republic elections and that our vote doesn't count.

Our vote is the only thing that keeps a democracy from being a dictatorship. Pray that we're not a dictatorship. Only time will tell.

Peace and love. And good luck!

"Better" would depend on what issues you support and which ones you do not. Democrats, in general, favor abortion, gay marriage, no prayer in school, big spending for social programs and big government. Republicans, in general, oppose abortion and gay marriages, support prayer in school, want less spending and want people, not the government to take care of many social functions.

You really don't know where Independents fall in these matters. In this country, we have about 30% Democrats, 30% Republicans and 40% who are Independents or Moderates. It is this last group of people that eventually decide who wins the elections.

The Republicans are obviously inept at running the country (Iraq, Katrina, Healthcare, etc...), and the Independents are not powerful enough to win office, so that leaves the Democrats, and they've got some great people in there.

VOTE THIS NOVEMBER!

There is no better party. I prefer Independant because I have the freedom to ignore party politics. I've voted 50/50 before on ballots. For me it's all about the integrity and beliefs of the candidate.

Well, for one, "independent" is not a party, it just means they do not have a party affiliation. Personally I think Dems and Reps are both bad, but in theory I agree with more of the Republicans' ideology.

It really depends on your personal beliefs.

These days, the parties are really not true to their original intent- but they didn't have to worry about violence, divorce, rape, bombs, nuclear weapons, etc back in the day either.

Republicans are conservative, while democrats are more liberal. Third party can be anything.

I would recommend doing some research on each platform and deciding where your beliefs lay. Don't listen to other people.

Republicans have money, Democrats have sex, and Independents are billionaires.

You don't hear about the Independants slinging mud like the Dems and Reps.
