Sunglasses are supposed to protect your eyes from harmful UV rays from the sun, its surprizing but UV rays can penetrate clouds and harm your eyes even when its not bright and sunny.
It makes perfect sense to wear sunglasses even on a cloudy winter day...you could choose a lighter shade tho' which provides equal amount of UV protection.

In the winter if its sunny most def!!!! Because they are meant to keep the sun out of your eyes no matter what season!!!! If it is not sunny I wear them on my head because it is always a stylish idea!!!

Wear them in winter all the time. The sun is worse when it reflects off the snow.

I wear sunglasses when the sun is out. Technically, you should always wear sunglasses if there's sun.
