I've had my laptop for a pretty short time, and i started hearing a high pitched whine inside it. I'm prety sure its the hard drive because whenever i open a program or the laptop is processing something, the whine goes away. But when I'm not opening a program, (listening to music, typing, etc.), the high pitch whine is there. Its not a major problem, but it gets annoying in quiet places like the library. Is there a way to fix this????

The only moving parts inside are either drives or fans. Drives seldom give a high-pitched sound, fans often do. You may have a faulty processor fan. Replacing it is a quick and easy fix. If it's your hard drive... you'll have to buy another. Nothing inside is user-fixable.

I had taken aside my pc as immediately as and as immediately as I positioned it back at the same time I lost a twine which ended up in my fan and it made a clicking noises...till finally the twine grew to grow to be into shrink and my laptop died. there ought to correctly be airborne dirt and mud/airborne dirt and mud interior the fan or some component small. using very reality its a laptop you're waiting to ought to favor to take it aside yet I say get a can of compressed air first previously you assume its some thing undesirable and attempt blowing out the fan area.

I'd take it in...It's most likely under warranty still.
